Gucci’s interactive fashion show

So Gucci is doing something new and exciting. They are inviting you, yea YOU to be an e-guest at their fashion show in Milan today at 8 am EST (its already past, but they will have post show access). Basically, you sign up at Gucciconnect.com and receive an e-ticket to “attend” and watch Frida Giannini’s Women’s Spring Summer 2011 show live (from 4 different camera angles). You will be assigned a virtual seat and everything! You will be connected with the other virtual attendees, over 10,000 have signed up so far, and will be able to share live webcam videos and social media interactions with other e-guests in real time as the show is happening. This allows larger audiences to be able to experience the fashion show. I LOVE this idea. It allows the “average” fashion lover to watch and feel like they are a part of the show without shelling out the big bucks for a ticket to Milan and a seat at the show. Nice move Gucci…Let’s see which designers will be next…
